Rain drizzled softly down on the brightly lit streets of New York. People still bustled to their happy haunts, uncaring of the inconvenience of mother nature. In an otherwise slightly darkened neighborhood of older businesses, bass could be heard rumbling out of one softly lit entrance with blackened glass creating the rest of the front. Unlike the lively clubs of other districts this bass didn't thump but rolled out and through you, drawing you in. A backlit sign with cutout letters declared the establishment called "Fire and Ice".
Once inside the door the environment proved the name was no play on words but an exercise in the most literal sense of the phrase. Bartops smoked with dry ice, glowing a soft but cold white. Tables throughout the place either rolled smoke from the same source or had a contained flame rising from what looked like gemstones within. Servers and bartenders with varying shades of blues or bright reds efficiently served patrons from all walks of life, but one could almost catch an odd iridescence to their eyes if they looked at just the right moment.
The back wall was the most impressive piece, floor to ceiling panels of flames that changed colors and danced to the beat. One would almost think them fake or an image until they came close to feel the heat that radiated out. On a narrow stage a single dancer swung and danced, flipped and manipulated a ball of flame on a shining chain attached to her wrist. Her body, lean and flexible bent and kicked the ball out, the flames kissing her cheek as it went past her face. Short hair shaved with a lotus on one side and into a sharply angled bob on the other side shimmered and almost blended into the flames, in multiple shades of gold, blazing orange, ruby red down into deep royal blues. Her face was sharp angles, almost reminiscent of the long forgotten fae of the world with her high cheekbones and classic lines. "everybody wants to rule the world" by Lorde pulsed through the speakers as she continued her routine, drawing eyes from the patrons as she seemingly ignored their existence.

As the rain cascade down the night sky, each droplet reflected the light in a way that it almost seemed of a different scene with each blink of the eye. The way the color played along made it seem as if the water was dancing to the pulse of music that echoed down the street. A man, standing almost a full head above even an average tall man made his way down the street under the rain, his path determined and straight.
He even walked past some of the more favorable clubs, where the ladies of the night hung around the bouncers to lure in the innocent and careless men. One even went out of her way to try and reach to stop the man, But abruptly stopped. It was as if a spine chilling cold shot from the back of her head down the entirety of her body. This forced her to withdraw and try to ignore the mans very existence. He continued his walk till he stopped outside a blackened glass doorway. The music softer than others, it still pulsed and with it and the rain, the dim light of their sign seemed almost as if it wanted to dance as well.
Making a soft scoff at the play of words that read across the sign, he ducked a bit and started walking again, entering the dim doorway. The mist and smoke filled the floor as he walked, billowing and swirling past each step he took. When he entered the now much more open area, he stood completely to his advantage, glancing over the entire interior. He moved one hand up to his face and slid it effortlessly up and back, pushing his shoulder length soaked hair out of his vision. His trimmed beard still glistened with droplets of water as he took a deep breath in from the new environment.
His eyes surveyed the club once again and this time, registered all there was to see. The tables with smoke and fire playing around the middle of it, the bar that shed smoke and mist faster than a fog rolling over the mountains, and even the narrow stage that a dancer took as her own. His deep red eyes examined a little more closely the dancer than anything else, but he pulled his attention from her as he was greeted by a man who barely managed his chest. Though smaller in stature to himself, this man still had bulk and a presence around him that adorned him the bouncer of this establishment.
Seeing that he would cause no trouble from just his stance, the bouncer nodded and motioned to the bar. With a nod, the man slowly passed by and continued thru the club now, drawing more eyes than he cared. As he made it to the bar, one of the tenders walked up to where he sat and gave a sly grin as she sat a glass in front of him. "Whatcha havin tonight, Mr. Tall, Dark and Sexy?" The man looked at her and couldnt help a small chuckle. He got a little more comfortable and spoke, his voice deep, but oddly soothing. "Its been quite a long time since i heard that line. Lets start with a simple ale if you have any. Something easy on the tongue, but anyone would regret if taken advantage of."
The odd way his voice carried shook the woman to her core and without even realizing it, she had lost her grin and sassy fight. She just stared at him a bit, her cheeks feeling faintly flush. When he noticed her shock, he gave a small, warm, and seemingly innocent smile before speaking again. "And the name is Koren. That is, if your still wanting to know." This comment snapped her out of her trance and she was quick to nod and move to get his drink. The other tender noticed what had transpired and simply kept an eye on it, not sure of what to do or say unless something got out of hand.
Koren slowly sat back up straight for a moment and unzipped his jacket. Pulling it off, he revealed the tone and fit looking body that hid under it. He sat the jacket on one side of the bar as he turned slightly and was once again laying his eyes on the woman who danced on the stage.

As the song wrapped up she stood in her last pose, one foot in front of the other on the balls of her feet with the ball of flames right in her face. A slight puff of air and the ball went out, along with the flames behind her. It all lasted only a moment as a trap door gave way under her in the moment of darkness before anyone's eyes could adjust. Landing in a slight crouch she stood, walking the path under the stage to the prep rooms in faint lighting. A few stage hands waved at her as she passed which she returned with a nod, her light gray eyes watchful. Once in the green room she quickly changed and stored her prop, changing out the dancer's outfit to jeans, soft blue/gray tshirt and a bomber jacket with a set of black low heeled ankle boots. Being around people was exhausting her quickly, feeling their emotions and hunger press against her. Soon fine droplets of sweat speckled across her forehead as she shouldered a small bag and walked out to the main room. A patron bumped into her and she stumbled, not nearly as graceful off stage. His hand closed around her bicep as she straightened and felt his hunger beat against her, her own heart starting to race.
Roughly she pulled away from him, walking fast with her eyes down so the patrons wouldn't see them paling out even more, even her pupils to an odd white. Without looking up she walked briskly past the main bar, snagging an oddly white and pink swirled shot that the bartender slid to her and slamming it without breaking stride and sliding the glass back. With the oversized jacket she looked young, barely old enough to drink if that but nobody stopped her as she continued her way out. Sensing a rather tall person slightly in her way/off to the side she took a half step to the right, careful not to touch him as her eyes flicked up for the barest second and met his dark red ones. Determinedly she continued to move, the slight shrug of her bag more onto her shoulder the only indication that she had even acknowledged anyone near her.
The bouncer held anyone entering back and away from her as she moved out the door into the rain, though he failed to see the man who had grabbed her arm in the bar waiting in an alleyway out a side door. As soon as the bouncer resumed his door duties the man slipped out of the alleyway, following the petite woman as she tilted her head just the slightest but kept her head and eyes down, still keeping a hurried pace.
About a block away he suddenly stepped forward, grabbing her arm roughly and turning her around. "What's wrong sweetheart? Don't want to make a new friend? or are you just some stuck up bitch?" he sneered, towering over her.
She said nothing, her head staying down as the rain started to soak her flame colored hair. She shook her head no, trying to back away but otherwise not engaging him.

Koren continued to watch the dancer, and could tell she was not much for the stage itself. But knew there was more to her than met the eye and just watched. The tender returned with his drink and sat it very quietly next to him, trying to be almost sneaky about it. She saw his eyes were fixed on the dancer and she took this moment to make a snide remark that sounded like a bit of a harsh compliment. "Shes one of our more popular dancers, even if she cant do much more then that routine." Koren glanced over at her as his hand slid around the glass she brought. "Even one routine is much more difficult when done in front of those you would rather not have see it."
His voice once again came off very soothing and the tender was once again entranced by it. He glanced her over a little, and watched as she slid a piece of paper down by his glass coaster. Before she could speak again, his eyes met hers and she couldn't speak. He took one more swig of the drink before setting it down on top of the paper and spoke once again. "Little miss, your much too young and sorely not ready for this mess of a husk." He turned once again back to the stage, to see it had gone dark and the dancer had left.
For how long, he wasn't sure, but he could feel the disdain of her leaving from the crowd. They seemed mostly human, and he clicked his tongue lightly at the feel of the thickening air. He wasn't much of a people person and was always a good read for the mood and feelings of what was around him. As he glanced around, he noticed that he wasn't long for this bar. He slowly stood, finishing his drink with one hand and grabbing his coat with another. The tender who was enthralled with him snapped back to reality when her co worker nudged her, whispering that she was staring way too hard. He set the glass down and grabbed the small piece of paper, waving it lightly towards the tender. "I'll be around. Who knows. Maybe i will like a little one." He teased her as he pocketed the note and started for the door.
As he made his way toward the door, the small and nimble dancer who he had been watching passed him up quickly. It was only for a moment, but his eyes trailed down and were met by her almost silky white pupils. Koren stopped for a moment to watch her walk, seeing that she was in a rather hurried mood to leave. It was only for that moment of letting her leave first that he held his step before resuming past the bouncer and once again entering the rain. It almost soothed his body to be so embraced by the water while still being able to breath in the crisp air that slid across his cheeks.
Koren just stood there a moment to enjoy the water running down his face and hair before he glanced over towards the alleyway. He had noticed the dancer had made it a little ways down and saw someone else he had recognized from the bar trailing after her. He wasn't one for poking his nose into things that weren't his own fault, but he also wasn't one to let someone be used or manipulated. And he could sense, however vague, that it would turn into something of the sort. He began to make his way towards them, his strides large, but slow and methodical.
Once they had made it a reasonable distance from the club or anyone she could have known, the man acted out and grabbed her. He could hear as clear as day, even thru all the pelting water, what he had said as he slowly made his way to them. When she shook her head and attempted to back away, he could see thru the mans body language that he wouldn't let go, but get rougher. Before he could, Koren spoke out loud enough that even a block away would hear him thru the rain. "The night sure is beautiful with all this rain, don't you think?"
The man was stunted for only a moment, having to physically look up to meet Korens gaze. This unfortunately didn't deter him from acting out more. "And? What the fuck of it? Im too busy to deal with a fucking hippie like you, so go get fucked somewhere else." He spoke agitatedly as he returned his gaze to the woman. Koren couldn't help but chuckle, but instead of it sounding like a laugh, it sounded more like purring rumble in his chest. This once again drew the attention of the man as he had never heard such a noise. Koren once again looked down at him and this time, his eyes gave a soft, dimmed glow as his voice slid from his lips.
"Im not one to poke his snout into the business of others, but i do believe the miss here doesn't want your company. However, if its a fun time your looking for..." He leaned forward ever so faintly, his smile slowly broadening to show a couple very sharp, and very apparent fangs. "I do love my squirmy prey..." His voice trailed off and for any regular human, the sound and reverberation of it sent chills down to their very core, even when drunk. The man instantly let go of his potential prey and slowly backed away from them both. His confusion for doing so was all over his face as he turned to walk away, snarling at the woman. "Another night maybe, bitch."

She felt someone else moving towards them and sighed. Tonight was just not her night and being touched by the man was starting to make her feel sick. Violence rolled off of him and made some deep and dark part of her rise. Struggling to control her base instincts she gritted her teeth and kept her head down, trying to pull away. His hand tightened on her arm and a snarl started to form on his face as a new voice rang out. "The night sure is beautiful with all this rain, don't you think?"
Her head snapped up, revealing almost flat white eyes that one would mistake for a blind person if they didn't know better. Her eyes had no milkiness, just a faint glow to them. Thankfully, the man had ceased paying attention to her face, though his grip didn't lessen on her arm. The illusion magicks she used over her form shimmered a little and wavered in their solidity. She only used minor ones to keep from drawing too much attention to herself, much like a fae's glamour since they didn't use up much of her already limited amount of power. With an unnoticed sigh she pulled on her already strained powers to shift her eyes back to something humanoid, though now a vivid teal. She was slightly startled to recognize the very tall male she had actually briefly caught the gaze of in the bar.
"And? What the fuck of it? Im too busy to deal with a fucking hippie like you, so go get fucked somewhere else."
A slight snarl crossed her lips as the human spoke, and she felt something dark and ugly continue to try and push to the surface. The sound the larger male made that sounded like a purring rumble caused a not unpleasant chill across her skin and her eyes to widen slightly. She never reacted pleasantly to being around people anymore and the slight glow from his eyes marked him as a nonhuman himself. That made him a potential threat as she was no shape to go toe to toe with another supernatural being. The fangs and his words hit her instincts like a freight train. werewolf. I thought they stayed to the remote areas she thought, eyes caught on the intimidating figure.
"Another night maybe, bitch."
Needing to drop a little more glamour, she stood up straighter and fixed him with an ice cold stare as he fled. "unlikely" she said quietly enough he wouldn't hear her, but it didn't matter whether he did or not. The human out of sight she suddenly looked up at the one who had saved her from a very unpleasant evening. With her glamour dropped a little she had skin that looked soft enough to cause ones fingers ache to touch it. She gained only a year or two in her looks, but a vague presence that suggested one was in the presence of something very ancient surrounded her and the colors fell from her hair until it was all a soft luminous blonde. Her eyes stayed the teal humanoid as she held onto that little bit of glamour, hoping to not completely give away what she was. The overall effect was the loss of a 'lost, weak waif' presence she had before, with her curves filled out a little more and a cautious gaze. Careful to look up at him but not meet his eyes in challenge she addressed the one who helped her. "Thank you, that could have been very unpleasant" she said softly, her voice low and husky. She flashed him a small smile that gave the tiniest of glimpses of her own fangs.

Seeing the man walk, he leaned back to straighten himself once again, his fangs shrinking and his eyes returning to the dull deep red they were before. When he finally managed to look down at the woman, he was taken a back a bit by the minute features and details that changed. He knew she was something other than human, but for her to have enough control of her magics to fool even him, she was an elder of some extent. He saw her look up at him and give a faintly soft response while trying to avoid any mean eye contact. He couldn't help but give a large innocent smile.
"Your very welcome. I did really mean it when i said it was a beautiful night. Unfortunately he didn't think so." He gave a light shrug as he looked back up in the direction the man retreated to. He didn't think he laid it on that heavily, but with the way the man reacted and the way the woman smiled at him, he may have done more than he realized once again. He looked back down at her and ran his hand thru his hair as it fell in front of his eyes from the rain. "My name is Koren, by the way. I'm sorry if i may have startled you earlier." It was only for a moment and he could only see it out of his peripheral, but he truly believed he had scared her some from what he did. It wasn't like it was uncommon. He did startle many people simply by being near.

She chuckled at his answer of it actually being a beautiful night. She looked up at the sky, drops of water running down her face and neck. She kept him in her peripheral vision, noticing the big smile that made her want to grin in return. She watched him push his hair back and tilted her head a little, just observing him. He didn't seem to have any ill intent but that was no reason to be sloppy. Sloppy got you killed in this city.
"My name is Koren, by the way. I'm sorry if i may have startled you earlier."
She watched him and flashed him a bit more of a cautious smile that showed her fangs again. She could feel herself getting more and more tired the longer they stood there. She hadn't wanted to do the performance tonight in the first place, and it left her ability to feed from it hampered.
"I'm Anaya. Thank you again for the help, really. You didn't necessarily startle me as much as surprise me" she answered and ignoring all her instincts screaming at her, stepped forward and offered her hand for a handshake, her small frame dwarfed by him.

When she spoke her name, he felt a little more at ease. Like they weren't as guarded as before and he was getting more of a calm greeting than a jaded or hated snarky remark. Normally, when someone found out even a little of what he was, they wouldn't let their guard down even if he showed no interest in them. It really did wear down his trust and feelings. When she offered her hand to him, he actually felt dumbfounded a bit. It was something he had never experienced. A handshake with another non human. He was eager to offer his giant hand to hers.
His body relaxed so much so that one could hear a soft rumbling from his abdomen, his excitement actually showing for once. He glanced over her some more as he looked at her and began to notice things about her that he hadn't paid much attention to before. He never looked at much of someone's body or stature unless they were someone he needed to kill, and he never had mate. So he never felt the need to memorize or even remember smaller details. But with her giving him the little slice of pleasure she did, he couldn't help but see her for everything she was. "Its nice to meet you, Anaya." His voice was still deep, but soothing as every word left his lips.

As his hand made contact with hers, happiness and excitement flowed through the connection and over her. Immediately she felt better than she had all night and returned his smile with a bright one of her own. It had been so long since she had touched another being and actually had it feel good. When the handshake ended she missed the warmth and shivered a little as the rain started to fall harder. She fixed a quick glare up at the sky before pulling her jacket closer. Soft rain was fine by her, but it needed to be a little warmer for it to actually feel good. As quickly as she glared up at the sky the heavens opened and started a torrential downpour on anyone unlucky enough to be caught in its wrath. Anaya gasped, instantly soaked and looked up at the sky again. "Are you fucking kidding me?!" she squeaked out in shock and annoyance.

Her hand was small in his, but he could feel from just that brief interaction the comfort and happiness that she felt from it. It was always a good sight when he got to see people smile from the heart or soul. Meant they had the capacity to care and to him, that was a much more important trait than simply being strong or sexy. When the rain picked up, he glanced around to see who else may have been on the streets, seeing no one really in sight. That's when he looked at her just long long enough to see her reaction the the downpour.
The rain simply covered them head to toe in water, and while she was angered and surprised by it, he was calm and smiling. He pulled his jacket off, which was a very good at keeping heat in and water out, and draped it over her. The four x jacket sat on her head, covering almost all of her upper and mid body. And with the natural furnace that he was, he knew she would probably dry up quickly under his jacket. Koren embraced the rain whole heartedly and leaned his head back with his eyes closed. "It really is a beautiful night tonight..." He didn't mean for anyone to hear his mumble, but it reverberated thru his torso with each word. The rain was one of his immense pleasures.
His body seemed to almost pulse in a slow rhythmic style, each breath deep and with the sole purpose of inhaling the scent of the air. It was as if he was in a meditative trance, the rain sliding down his drenched body. His shirt did nothing to cover what he had under, clinging vigorously to his stomach and chest. It worked to reveal the toned body underneath, which didnt show a chizzled body like most of his kind, but rather just a fit look. Each breath pushed to expand his rib cage before he snapped out of his trance and looked down at her with a bit of embarrassment. His hand was quickly rubbing his head and face to distract from his moment. "I'm sorry about that! I just... The rain holds a very special part of me. But i imagine your not in the mood to be drenched!"

She squeaked a little in surprise as he draped his massive jacket over here, making her feel almost like a child wrapped up. Heat radiated around her and reminded her of the comforts of home. She found herself intrigued, just watching him as he tilted his head back to enjoy the rain. Her head tilted a little in curiosity, her gaze steady and unblinking as he entered a meditative like state. How wonderful it must be to not be worried about others enough to be able to just enjoy the moment. Speaking of enjoying the moment...… Anaya couldn't help but appreciate the way the heavy downpour made his shirt cling to his form. Her eyes widened and she covered her face with her hands. Good gods what was WRONG with her? The man had saved her, given her his jacket and been nothing but a gentleman to her and here she was ogling him in the middle of the sidewalk. She didn't even usually like being around anyone, much less appreciating their physique.
"I'm sorry about that! I just... The rain holds a very special part of me. But i imagine your not in the mood to be drenched!"
She widened her fingers to peek through them, her face flushing as she removed them slowly. She smiled sheepishly and chuckled a little. "I love the rain just not quite being soaked to the bone by it. You didn't have to cover me with your coat, really! My loft isn't too far from here" she explained, making a vague gesture in the direction she had been going.

Hearing her speak, he smiled and nodded at the notion. Not everyone was as keen to the rain as he was and forgot that sometimes. When she motioned in the general direction of where she lived, Koren glanced down the way before looking back at her. "Well, even if its close by, at least my jacket will keep you as dry as possible with the rain coming down." He didnt much care for losing the jacket and simply letting her be on her way from there. But he felt that if nothing else, he should see to it that she made it home after the events of the night. She may be someone of considerable age, but even with that, he knew another situation like that wouldnt turn out as well as this one did.
Looking her over once more, he finally made up his mind and gave a small gesture toward the same direction. "If you dont mind, i think it would be best if i at least made sure you made it home without anymore trouble." As the words rolled out of his mouth, he sounded a little too much like someone who wanted to creep on her, and he was soon to fix that. "That is... If your willing for my company that far?"

She paused for a moment at his offer. Oddly enough, she was enjoying his company so far, in a city where she was very alone. She was fascinated not only at finding a werewolf in a massive city, but that he differed so much from any other she had met or heard of. Usually werewolves by themselves were alpha males, dominant and forceful; almost always looking for a fight. He was quiet, sheepish and easy to talk to. She weighed the consequences for a brief second, hoping she wasn't coming across as rude. She was far too low on her power reserves to protect herself if she ended up in another encounter with someone or something with bad intentions.
Anaya nodded, her eyes wide as she looked up at him. "That would be great...thank you. it's just a few blocks and a quick trip up an elevator but I'm a little.....tired tonight" she replied with a soft smile.
She turned, walking in companionable quiet as she allowed her eyes to shift to a shadowed white again. Since she wasn't looking up at him she figured it wasn't noticeable, and kept her from wearing herself down even farther. She shifted the coat down around her shoulders, accepting of the rain pouring over her hair as long as it wasn't soaking the rest of her body. It made for an odd silhouette, almost like a jacket walking itself down the sidewalk. The rain around them slowed slightly, almost having a rhythm and beat of its own. Without thinking about it she hummed a soft tune along to it as they strolled side by side.

Koren could sense her words to be true in more ways than she thought he would catch on. He gave a light nod before slowly making his way to her side, keeping himself between her and the street, but also keeping a slight glance over any alleys or streets they were to cross. He had noticed as they walked that she had brought the jacket down around her shoulder and neck, leaving her head exposed to the weather. He gave a soft smile to this notion, thinking to himself that not moments ago, she was saying she didnt care for the rain in that way. It eased his mind some seeing her relax a little more.
As the rain began to subside a little, he could hear that it had begun to make its own rhythm again. And he wasnt alone in this thought as he heard Anaya start to hum lightly along with it. He once again smiled some and turned his focus back onto the streets and alleys as he slowly swayed a bit to the rhythm of the rain and her humming. Both felt very soothing to his ears and he couldnt help himself.

The walk didn't take long, the soft drizzle giving way to a heavy rain just as they reached the doorway to her building. Standing under the covered doorway she looked at the now pounding rain and then up at Koren. As he continued to prove, he didn't seem to mind the rain as the sheets literally rolled down him while he was soaked to the skin. Despite his nonchalance about the situation, she felt bad that he had let her wear his only protection from the elements. She warred with herself for a moment as they stood there, her mind swirling with hesitation at having another being close to her, especially this low on her power reserves. On the other hand, he actually made her feel safe and she didn't hate being around him like she did pretty much every human she came across. He was easy to be around, comfortable in silence which was a rarity.
Flushing a bright red she glanced up at him only a moment before looking down at her hands again. "Would you...ummm...you can come up if you want? I feel bad you got all soaked because you let me wear your jacket.. you can come up to towel off at least?" she stammered a little.
After a moment he agreed and they made their way into the building. The hallway was dimly lit and clean, though very plain. At the end was a freight elevator, the door shut with a chain and lock on it. Anaya drew her keys from her bomber jacket and swiftly unlocked the padlock before tossing the chain onto the floor of the elevator and sliding the meshed door to the left. She stepped inside and waited for him to join her, pressing the button for the top floor. Her place was a safe haven for her, something she had built into a sanctuary over many years. Technically she owned half of the building but didn't care for upkeep, finances and all that so she left it to her business partner. Up the old elevator went, running smoothly despite its rough appearance. She chewed her lip a little, berating herself a little mentally. 'You don't even know this werewolf and now you're inviting him up to the loft?? He could kill you and you couldn't put up much of a fight right now!!' she thought, but she brushed aside the thought. For once, just once she was going to believe the best in someone and overcome the anxiety that had slowly been developing over the decades.
The elevator jerked to a stop about 10 floors up, Anaya opening the doors to reveal a tiny landing with a large set of heavily frosted, soft blue tinted glass and steel doors that stood easily eight feet tall. She gave a cautious smile to Koren and stepped forward, pressing her palm over a small square area that gave an almost imperceptible click before she pushed the doors open.
The loft was an impressive space, obviously two floors that had been combined and remade into her design. Massive book cases sat perpendicular to the bank of windows overlooking the city in its lit beauty. A comfortable looking bench with storage underneath ran almost the whole expanse of windows, giving way only a few feet from a massive fireplace in the opposite corner. Reclaimed wood floors shone softly in the light from hanging lights, and if one turned their head to the right a baby grand piano sat under a small spiraling chandelier. A steel ladder ran up the side of the bookcases to a loft area holding her bedroom and study area, an industrial railing running the length. Black exposed brick gave the whole place a warm, but fairly modern vibe. The walls were adorned with different art pieces, giving life to the black and making it look more lived in. An opening next to the ladder revealed the door to a large bathroom and an average sized kitchen with bar style seating along more windows. The overall affect was somewhere warm, stylish and eclectic.
Anaya stepped forward, gesturing to the large room. "So..ummm.. this is my place.. let me go get a towel at least for you" she said awkwardly as she hung his coat on a hook next to the doors and rushed to the bathroom for one of her oversized towels.
