Jason Tithman. He was the geeky kid in elementary school. No one liked him, nor did anyone try to be his friend. Well, besides one girl. Everyone avoided him except her, and because they all avoided him, when she began to talk to him, they avoided her as well. It was like a curse that any who talked to him was part of that excommunication that the school had put on him.
But this girl, despite seeing and knowing what would happen, talked to her. When she introduced herself that first day, he never forgot her name. Jess Sinclair. The one, and only person to talk to him in his school. He found it awkward, and was very standoffish at the idea at first. For almost the entire school year, he didnt accept her friendship.
When the year came to an end, on the last day, he accepted her finally and they became close friends, only to become closer when he found out she lived right across the street from him. All summer, he was never far from her, and vise versa. But something he never thought would happen, happened. Because of his fathers work, they had to move states away.
He couldnt stop crying. She couldnt either. They were only 9. Who wouldnt cry after losing such a good friend? She was his first real friend, his first real crush. And the move had been his first real heart break.
Eight years later. He came back. Back to that same district, and back to that same house he used to live in. He had found out that the house had been vacant since they left it. It was still well maintained, just never occupied. But that all changed when he returned. His father still states away, he took his own allowance, which he had saved from the day he left, and used it to buy the house. It was his now.
He glanced across the road at the house he knew his child hood friend used to live in. But he didnt know now if she was still there or not. "She wouldnt still be around, would she?" He spoke to himself before unlocking the door and walking in. Everything was the same as he remembered it. He glanced around before his cellphone rang loudly and he answered it.
"Yeah?" He spoke with a slight annoyance in his voice. "Everything that you will need to fill up the house will be sent to you in the morning. I made sure your mother called the school and your paperwork was finalized. You start tomorrow."
"And what about the furniture?" He growled lightly. "The movers are personal workers from our branch. They have a key to the house. By the time you get home, everything should be in the living room and ready to be put into proper places. From then on, your alone. Good luck." And with that, the phone cut and Jason growled loudly.
"Asshole. Doesnt even care his own son abandoned the family." Shaking his head, he took the backpack off his shoulders and put it by the door. He then layed down on the floor and was soon asleep.
The next morning, he woke up to his phone alarm going off and yawned heavily. "Fuck... School in 20..." He stood up and took a comb to his hair. As soon as his jet black hair was comb neatly, he pulled it back into a pony tail, feeling it hit the bottum of his back. He hadnt cut his hair once since he left. He dressed himself in a loosly buttoned white shirt and black cargo pants.
He wasnt the same geeky little kid, but he wasnt different either. Putting his glasses on, he grabbed his backpack, emptied it out, and then walked out the front door. He glanced about the street as he stood there, wondering how the day would turn out.
(i got into it..... >.> sooooorrrry.....)

All the bargaining and pleading with the school board had finally paid off. Gracefully, she spun on a pair of black ballet pointe shoes, faster and faster before dropping into the splits. Light applause greeted her, and she laughed at the seven or so other people in the rather large studio the school had finally put in. "Ok ok, sorry guys I couldn't resist" she said with a laugh, quickly untying the shoes and switching them out for comfortable shining white skater shoes. About to turn 18 in two days, she had definitally blossomed since the little nine, almost ten year old girl. Her red hair was now streaked with blonde, her blue eyes intelligent and sparkling. From years of dance, her body was well toned, and she had become more outspoken from theater. Since Jason left, it'd been her gateway, since most people didn't want to speak to her at that point. Standing at 5'8", she was fairly tall for a girl, smart, and friendly, with a hell of a temper if you got her wriled.
The music changed to an upbeat hip hop/rock mix. A smile came over her features. Trained enough in ballet, this was her true passion. This group was all theater people, practicing flips and such, along with a passion for hip hop they all shared. School was starting, but today they all came in to check out the new studio. Other students walked by, watching through the large windows at the dancers, who paid no attention to them.
Her body rolled, muscles twitching to pop the chest for a split second before twisting her body. Running forward, she and four other dancers stepped onto the waiting hands of the other four, being flipped backwards and landing expertly on their feet before sliding forward on one knee. Her front shoe caught, and Jess flipped forward, easily rolling and ending up flat on her back. Everyone started laughing, including her. The one she'd flipped off of held out his hand and helped her up, all of them laughing. "Ok, let's try that again, without the uncoordination" she said with a chuckle at herself. The music started again, and it was back to work on the sequence again.

When jason walked in the front doors of the highschool, the 17 year old was greeted with many stares. Apparently he stood out a lot more then he thought, and some of the students who had been in his elementary school still recognized him, even after 8 years. They spoke nastily behind his back and sneered at him when he wasnt looking. "Is that thweird kid you went to school with?" Some whispered, while others laughed as he passed by. "Its curse maniac Jason! He's back!"
Even some of the younger teachers jeered in with the students. He just continued on his way, ignoring the laughter and whispers. Seemed his presence cause more of a rucas then the new studio he had heard about. He moved past everyone and slowly towards the office. Some of the bullies of the school laughed and ran around the school, screaming "Curse boys back!" Those who knew what it ment came jeering and grinning as they spoke horrid of him.
He could feel the same pang of hate and sadness in his chest as he kept walking, only to stumble when one of the older bullies came and stopped his walk. "Where do you think your heading to, Jason? The doors the other way." Jason sighed and looked up, straightening his glasses on his nose. "Im going to the office to get a locker and my class roster. Mind moving?" His question was answered with a push, making him stumble back.
"I dont think you heard me. The doors back the way you came."

The noise in the halls escalated over the music, and the group had to stop. Turning, they watched as a tall boy walked through the hall, being stopped by a bully. "It's curse boy" one of the dancers said. Instantly all fury, Jess turned to him, grabbing him by the front of the shirt and knocking his legs out from under him. "Don't let me hear you ever call him that again" she snarled, before turning and walking away, towards the door to the studio. The dancers watched in shock as she flung the door open, stalking into the hallway, pushing through the crowd gathered until she was in the front, and could see Jason's face. Hers went white as she saw one of the bullies shove him. "Jason" she whispered.

Jason caught himself before the grabbing hands could snatch him from behind and hold him down. Blowing a strand of his hair from his face, he straightened and sighed. "Im not here to cause trouble, nor am i here to deal with idiots. Let me pass so i can find my class." The bully swung at him and caught him in the face. Jason's whole body jerked back and he fell flat on his ass. Everyone laughed and cheered for the boy. "Yeeaah! Thats it QB! Send curse boy home crying!"
Jason spat out a tooth and rulled his tongue around in his mouth before standing up. "Ooooh he hasnt had enough yet! Get him again Derrick! Put Cursy Mcbuttfuck back on his ass!" Jason just shook his head as he heard the shouting and looked back at the bully, who was already rearing back for another swing. Jason dodged it and began a light bouncing on the balls of his feet. His hands came up to mid way between his face and chest and without warning, his right leg swung out and up.
His foot caught the bullies face and made him stumble the other way. Everyone booed and yelled at him for fighting back. Eight years of being picked on, who wouldnt want to know how to defend himself? Jason kept bouncing as the bully recovered and then he jabbed out quickly at the boys face, making the bully stumble back into the catching arms of other students. Before he could stand up, Jason was already on top of him and rammed his heel into the bullies nose, knocking him out.
Jason stopped bouncing afterwards, and pushed his way past the crowd, making his way slowly to the office as he contined to roll his tongue thru his mouth from the blow he got.

Jess' face was white as she watched the fight, her eyes large. Jason had learned to fight, and damned well. As the crowd dispursed, she saw a few people rush to their classrooms, a couple carrying Derrick to the nurse's office. Jess shook her head as she went back into the studio, grabbing her bag with her stuff in it. The other dancers watched her curiously. "Practice is over guys. C'mon, lets get this school day over with so we can get to this afternoon's rehearsal" she said quickly, almost jogging out of the room. The halls were almost empty as she caught up to Jason, only about six feet behind him. "Jason" she said loud enough for him to hear her, stopping in her tracks. She didn't know if he'd remember her, how he felt about her. This Jason wasn't exactly the one she'd known, but he was still there a bit.

Jason continued to walk towards the office, weaving in and out of the halls to where it was. He could never figure out why the districk made their offices in the middle of the school, but never found it hard to find. As he was winding down a long hallway, he stopped when he heard someone call his name. He turned on his heel and fixed his glasses on his nose, looking towards the person who called him.
He looked as tho he was about to cry, but never shed a single tear. It was just like in elementary, just this time, he was the one to walk away without laying there crying. His long hair had managed to some how cascade down his left side as he spoke lightly. "Someone else wants curse boy?"

A flash of hurt crossed her face. He didn't remember her. Biting her lip for a moment, she looked down, then looked back up at him, walking closer. Less than ten feet from him, she stopped again, looking up at him with her bright blue eyes. "I didn't ask for curse boy. I asked for Jason" she said simply, softly. Hurt was there in her eyes, that he'd forgotten her. She'd never forgotten her childhood friend. Absently, she brushed a lock of her hair behind one ear as she looked up at him.

Jason watched the girl as she stood in place for awhile and just shook his head. He was about to turn around and leave before hearing her speak again. He turned to look at her again and saw how much closer she was. Jason twitched, a natural reaction to the years of solitude he went thru. He glanced over the girl more this time since she was insistant on talking to him.
He couldnt quite put his finger on it, but he recognized her. He reached up and took his glasses off, beginning to slowly clean them with his shirt. He couldnt see jack shit without them on and just glanced in the girls direction. He saw nothing more then a blurry outline, and then it hit him. He put his glasses back on quickly and turned on his heel, walking over to her. When he stood a mear foot from her, he looked closely at her.
It was her. It was the girl who he had befriended in his younger years. The only girl to ever talk to him, and even now, the only girl to approach him out of concern and need for his time. Jason felt his knees lock and he laughed lightly before feeling himself buckle under his own weight. He was so used to being called names and outcast that he forgot how to care. He fell hard on his ass, catching his glasses on his face when he did.

"Oh holy shit! Jason!" she exclaimed, crouching down by him. "You ok?" The halls had cleared out, and she really didn't care whether she was late to her first class. She was a student aide anyways. Balancing easily on the balls of her feet, she crouched by him, her arms on her knees. Concern was written on her face as her intense blue eyes watched him, a hint of a smile on her face.

Jason felt a little dizzy and just sat there, holding his head with one hand. He could hear her, but not coherantly. His eyes glanced around, seeing her on one side and then looked around a bit more before seeing the office in the distance down the hall. He slowly got back to his bearings and looked back at the girl, seeing the hint of a smile. Jason was about to growl, thinking she was just toying with him, but saw the same ammount of concern he saw years ago.
"Jessy?" He asked lightly. He never forgot her name, never forgot how she treated him, and never forgot her kindness. But she looked so different now. IT certainly suprised him. He couldnt help but show his joy, a big smile on his face.

She smiled a little bit, her eyes sad, though still concerned. "Haven't been called that in a while, but yeah" she said softly. Running her hand over his silky smooth hair for a minute, she leaned forward, touching her forehead to his. "The whole smiling effect is kinda ruined by the blood, y'know" she teased him lightly, standing and holding out her hand. In her arms, the toned muscle could be seen. "C'mon, I'll go with you to the office" she said with a soft smile. There was a spark of determination in her eyes. She was going to break this curse boy bit the school had going if it was the last thing she did.

Jason felt her hand in his hair and purred a little, having a thing about his hair. He had always played with it or just stroked it when he was thinking, frightened or angry. But to have his only friend ever play with it, he damn near fainted there from joy in itself. It only made him happier when she layed her forehead on his, his eyes glancing up at hers over his glasses. When he heard what she said, he blushed and looked down.
"I know...." He looked back up when she spoke again. Nodding, he took her hand and hoisted himself up with her help. He turned towards the offive and started walking slowly as he spoke over his shoulder. "So how have you been? Its been a long time since i last saw you and you cvertainly have a different look from then."

Putting her backpack on her shoulder from where she'd set it next to her, Jess followed him down the hall. Hearing his question, she ran her hand through her hair. "Well, one would hope so after nine years. A little thing called puberty helps, ya know. Makes girls grow boobs, thinks like that" she said with a laugh, always one to crack jokes. "I'm turning 18 in two days, actually. When you left, I really got into theater. Mom and dad were thrilled" she said companionly as they walked side by side again.

Jason kept walking before chuckling softly, rubbing his face where he got hit. "I can tell. I didnt recognize you at first as you could tell..." He spoke softly before looking at her. She was completely different from the little girl he knew. He didnt know how to react to her, or what to say really. "18 already... Im still only 17. Im glad you found something to do when i left. After leaving, my life didnt change any..."
He turned back around and walked into the office, only to be greeted by the Principle. "Quite the little show you put on in the halls, Mister Tithman." Jason just gave a sarcastic smile and followed the man to his office. He took a seat down by the desk as the pirnciple spoke. "You come to our highschool because of your parents generous donation, and treat our best Quarter Back to injuries im sure he will not soon recover from. Anything to say to defend yourself?"
Jason just sat there for a moment before saying in a low scoffing tone. "Nothing thats needed to be said for years. Doesnt seem anyones forgotten or learned to grow up." The principle let out a chuckle and turned to look at Jason. "Boy, this is your one and only warning. Something like this happens again, and i dont care if your parents become world leaders. You will be removed from the school by force and expelled from this district, do you understand?"
