The "darling" caught her off guard slightly, though she just smiled a little and didn't answer him right away on teaching him new steps. "You'd look a bit odd doing ballet" was her only soft comment as she wiped down the bar. She could tell he was trying hard to be completely honest with her. Patiently, she listened to his explanation, then leaned on the bar again, her head tilted curiously. "What did you have planned for this place? There's all sorts of bars in New York."

"Plans?" He whispered with a grin. "In this city you need more then a plan; every walk of life, every life style imaginable infests this city."
He paused for a moment thinking about his verbage.
"Okay infests is kind of cruel, but there isn't really a good plan for this city. You'd be better off just having an open forum for all folks to want to spend their time in. Though for the most part we don't get many high end clients. Mostly just the neighborhood folks. Nice people, but they all have their quirks.
He stopped for a moment admiring Jess' work ethic. She had literally been hired not an hour earlier and she was already acting like she owned the joint. He couldn't help, but admire her. Truly this was a fascinating woman.
"Did you have an idea you wanted to chip in?"

A slight tilt of her head as she stopped to think. "Well, this place needs to be fixed up a little more I think" she looked around at all the dark colors. "Perhaps brighter accents, though I supposed with some of your customers' habits that could be a bad thing. Let me think a little more on it" she said, turning around to quickly start rearranging the bottles. She sang softly to the song as she worked, putting the higher quality liquor up higher, then according to name alphabetically so she'd know right where it was. "On the telephone line I am anyone, I am anything I wanna be. I could be a super model, or Norman Mailer, and you wouldn't know the difference.." her voice was sweet, soft as she moved quickly and efficiently, randomly spinning or tossing the bottles from hand to hand as she did so.

"Well the color scheme doesn't scream family atmosphere, I'll give you that much." Gay smiled. "Speaking of such, that might not be a bad idea if we could find a good cook. Maybe allow families a couple dinner and drink specials. That would help with the place's bad rap."
Gay couldn't help but smile watching this beautiful stranger who he'd surely taking a quick liking too toil with the bottles arranging them. She sure was a hard worker, but this association was still pretty new. In the back of his mind he couldn't help, but fear some of his clients might scare her off.
"You know it's their best song." Gay grinned at the song Jess was singing along too.
